Sergio Mairena, Principal Consultant and President & CEO
Sergio Mairena has served as the President & CEO since the founding of Serge Systems, Inc., in 2008. His extensive experience of over twenty years collaborating with original design manufacturing (ODM) & contract manufacturing/electronics manufacturing service (CM/EMS) and specialty design (industrial, packaging, regulatory compliance) providers spans industries just as varied: high-speed/security electronics, medical capital equipment, industrial appliances, small/home-office (SOHO) products, and consumer services.
Working throughout corporate hierarchy and product/platform lifecycles, Sergio can drive business reengineering, product design & development, supply-chain & operations optimization, and quality warehouse data mining & management. He quickly identifies needs & gaps and opportunities for rapid improvement, while balancing strategic & tactical objectives.
Sergio earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (Controls/Robotics) from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MBA (Finance) from Santa Clara University and holds a Six-Sigma Green Certification.
Sheldon Wigdor, Program Management Consultant
Sheldon Wigdor has over twenty-five years of engineering and program management experience. He has extensive experience in all phases of Project Management, with the proven ability to bridge technical & business goals to provide timely & effective solutions that meet customers’ requirements. His experience covers all phases of both engineering & manufacturing, with emphasis on successfully managing products/projects through their complete lifecycle. From managing operational teams to meeting productivity targets, he exceeds customer satisfaction goals. His extensive experience in developing global logistics & order fulfillment processes includes distribution; reverse logistics; and supplier, spares/depot, inventory, and on-line order management.
Sheldon earned a B.S degree in Computer Engineering from UCLA and an MBA from Pepperdine University. His industry experience covers network appliances, broadcast microwave control, telecommunications, and SMB office products. His worldwide EMS experience spans from high-complexity/low-volume through large-volume manufacturing engagements.
Ian Nieves, Branding & GUI Design Consultant
Ian Nieves has over fifteen years of visual software engineering experience--with a focus on interaction design, user interface design, and graphic design. His most notable contributions to the field of interface design include work on Lego's Digital Designer 3D construction tool. In 2004, he helped start Untangle, Inc., and invented & patented the Virtual Network Rack user interface.
Ian holds an M.S. degree in Software Engineering and two B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Economics--with College Honors--from the Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science.
Jas Dhillon, Manufacturing & Electrical Test Consultant
Jas Dhillon has over twenty years of comprehensive leadership experience in production management, plant operations, quality assurance, resource allocation, and strategic forecasting in diverse manufacturing environments. His approach in process, assembly, testing, and new product introduction (NPI) projects in a various industries including medical devices, fiber optics, and pharmaceuticals has always been results-driven. He has successfully managed operations with budgets of up to $50 million.
Jas earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology-Manufacturing from California State University, Fresno. He has solid background in a variety of top quality programs, including ISO 9000, QS 9000, TL9000, TQM, SPC, QSR, Kaizen Blitz, ESD regulations, and FDA guidelines. His ability to meeting strict deadlines, greatly increase productivity levels, reduce operating costs, and ensure regulatory compliance in highly complex conditions.
Paul Nelson, Functional & System Test Consultant
Paul Nelson has over fifteen years of Engineering & Manufacturing experience. He is adept at New Product Introductions (NPI) and has extensive experience to keep your production lines up & running. His proactive approach permits him to identify potential difficulties in the design, manufacturing, and testing of products.
Paul graduated from the Capitol Radio Engineering Institute (CREI) in Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) with a major in Microprocessors. He has worked with both large and small companies throughout Silicon Valley. He also has training and experience in designing functional test fixtures and for FCC regulatory compliance. He has worked at OEM companies as well as with a medical device CM/EMS.
Leonardo Camargo, Marketing Associate Consultant
Leonardo Camargo is responsible for market trend analysis, industry analysis, and strategic planning guidance. He specializes in identifying potential market opportunities and risks for clients. Leonardo's marketing experience extends throughout the public & private sectors, primarily in the advertising and publishing industries.
Leonardo received a B.S. degree in Marketing from Santa Clara University. He has worked with both small companies in the greater Bay Area and large multi-national corporations.
Eugene Lasartemay, Mechanical Design Associate Consultant
Eugene Lasartemay provides mechanical design and project management consulting services. He is a seasoned designer with more than twenty years of experience working in various industries including telecommunications, semiconductor equipment manufacturers, laboratory equipment, medical devices, light-rail (LVR) & military vehicles.
Earned a Certificate in Electromechanical Design & Drafting from the Masters Institute in San Jose, CA.
